In this seminar we looked at essay writing skills, finding ways to add context to simple sentences. The example was a picture which we spoke about the present, past and future situations.
Present: The wild bear sat contently on the weathered plastic chair.
Future: The wild bear sat contently on the weathered plastic chair then got on the bus he was waiting for.
Past: After stopping at McDonalds, the wild plastic chair before getting on the bus he was waiting for.
After buying a weathered plastic chair the wild hair sat contently on it waiting for the bus.
We then proceeded to write sentences using the same structure for the books we had brought in as research for the essay. Mine worked as follows:
1) Essential elements for brand identity is a book.
2) Essential elements for branding is a book about setting up a brand.
3) Essential elements for branding is a book about setting up a brand effectively.
4) Essential elements for branding is a book about setting up a brand effectively and seriously.
5) Essential elements for branding is a book about setting up a brand effectively and seriously, whilst also going on to give examples.
6) Essential elements for branding is a book which explains what a brand is, before explaining how to set up a brand effectively and seriously whilst also going on to give examples
I also brought two articles to the seminar as research so I shall proceed to do a similar process for one of these objects.
