Type - Monday 14th November
This lecture about type made me realise that there is a lot more to typography than I thought. It was interesting to see the progression of how type is implemented. The kinetic typography is something the I found particularly interesting as I felt as if it was more exciting than the basic type. The example of the Conan O'Brien show was something I really liked. The way it zooms in and out makes it link to the idea of a story following O'Brien's career, this wouldn't have the same affect presented as static type. The idea of type suffering from the fact that it represents language is lessened in impact here as the text is all about the aesthetically quality in this piece.
