Postproduction - Monday 13th March

This essay was interesting to see something unexpected interpreted in the form of design. Postproduction is the stage in production of a media output, typically involving editing and the edition of other elements. However the definition we focused upon which can be transferable to a design context was taking data that already exists and transforming it into something new. Examples of this in terms of design can be collages which use something old or from another context and then make it into an art form. The various examples shown were interesting and even unusual as shown by Marcel Duchamp's piece that includes a signed urinal. Despite this it is another thing that I an possibly experiment with in my own work.
