Inspiration - Monday 10th October
Recently I borrowed the book "How to use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, make people laugh, make people cry and (every once in a while) change the world" by Michael Bierut from the university library. Whilst reading this book I found one quote particularly interesting, which was "your best chance to grow is to do something you don't know how to do". I think this quote shouldn't just apply to your design work but to everything you do. In design this is applicable when learning a new skill or a new software, until you try something you do not know if you are good at it. Learning the new skill gives you more options for your next piece of work, so the more you try the better your design work becomes due to what is at your disposal.
