Writing with description - Thursday 17th November
This weeks session was more essay skills to help us structure our writing. We looked particularly into how to describe things. The description that I produced for a short section of a film trailer was "A confrontational atmosphere in which a man seemingly of a higher prestige is insulted by someone of a lower prestige". We then went on to participate in a more interactional activity in which we were a part of before then describing what occurred. "Two people stood over a strangely decorated cardboard box, before gasping in astonishment at it's contents". We then did a word association game about a moving image in which we had to list as many words as possible: colour, shape, quality, precision, action, narrative in motion, context, purpose, audience, depth, content, texture, shadows and speed.
