Order and Chaos: Post Modernism and Deconstruction - Monday 5th January
This lecture I found interesting as modernism rejects the styles of the past but in my opinion this does not make a piece of design. I believe the best pieces of design are produced from well informed designers who take inspiration from all era's of design. Post modernism was something I slightly agreed with due to the fact that it's purpose was to make people ask questions about the design work. When people have to think further about the design it makes it more effective. Te idea of the vernacular is also something which resonates strongly with me as with a passion for branding the idea of something being instantly recognisable due to it's style or aesthetics is incredibly important to this area of design.
