Autopoesis and Techno-Climate - Thursday 16th November

This lesson was about the keywords of the new brief. So autopoesis is talking about self, every aspect of me as a living system contributes to making me as a person. We think of ourselves as autonomous or free to make our own choices in life, however we can never be self dependant as we learn from each other. We have to interact to form character which is clear when you look at successful people. People who have grown up in poor backgrounds can be more driven to do well in life as a result of their upbringing they want to get out of poverty for their future family. An example of this can be seen with many South American footballers rising to prominence from the favelas for example Neymar. This lecture also talked about how as a social creature responsibility means not to crush others ambitions. The other keyword techno-climate was then addressed, it is a climate constantly changing and influenced by technology. It is about how you are directly influenced by technology. For example the power that social media has over people and how they desire acceptance or praise from these platforms, therefore when they receive it they want to go back to it to get more.
