Chris Skelton Guest Lecture - Wednesday 23rd November
Chris Skelton from Thompson Brand Partners, who is also a former Huddersfield University student, came to talk about the importance of branding. The main message of his presentation was "You are not your client". This was just to tell us that although a lot of the time you may not like the work that you produce for someone if that is what they want then you have to do it. Not everything you design can fall under your own interests otherwise you would not make money from your work. He also said that experience + knowledge + data = success which is something that shows that you need to be well informed to produce the best work which is something I believe strongly in.
